Course overview

Who's it for?

  • For fully qualified yoga teachers and yoga therapists from all yoga lineages and levels of experience.

  • For yoga teachers interested in a therapeutic approach to yoga, and in yoga therapy, this course provides an excellent introduction.

  • For healthcare professionals who wish to apply the practices to support clients in healthcare settings and complement your existing skillset. Previous experience of Yoga is essential and this training is not a standalone Yoga teacher training qualification. If you'd like to offer yoga classes, you will need a full 200 hour training.

‘’I highly recommend this training course of Claire's. For me already teaching Chair Yoga, it gave me lots of new ideas and reinforced my passion and reason for teaching Chair Yoga. Suitable for experienced Chair Yoga teachers, as well as anyone who'd like to begin and non-Yoga Teachers who work in an environment where people could benefit. ‘’    Louise, Chair Yoga Teacher, Wicklow

Course approach and philosophy

This course draws from 30 years of experience in bodywork, Hatha Yoga, somatic movement and Yoga therapy. The approach is gentle, mindful and therapeutic, centered around the needs of clients and students. Because many students and clients who attend chair yoga classes have specific physical needs and medical conditions, the course emphasises a safe, inclusive approach where students are given agency and choice. Mental, emotional and energetic well being are considered as part of the training, to create a truly holistic approach.
